6S // 7-INCH // LONG RANGE
The LW7 is a 6S 7-inch FPV platform engineered for distance — 28 minutes of flight, 12 km of solid link, and a frame built to survive the trip home. Designed and assembled in the USA.

01 — The Aircraft
The flagship. Maximum endurance for exploration and mapping runs.
Carries a full-size action camera with vibration-isolated mount.
Build your own. Aerospace-grade carbon, all hardware included.
02 — Specifications
Every figure below is measured on production aircraft, not prototypes. Range and endurance verified at 1,600 m density altitude, 15 km/h headwind.
03 — Technology
Most 7-inch quads strap on a LiPo and call it long range. The LW7 pairs 1300 KV motors with a 6S Li-Ion pack tuned for cruise efficiency — 28 minutes in the air instead of eight.
Our 915 MHz control link holds through tree lines and terrain that kills 2.4 GHz. 12 km tested range with full telemetry, and GPS rescue takes over if you ever do drop out.
8 mm unidirectional arms, replaceable in the field with four bolts. We crash production frames into concrete at full speed before every revision ships — and warranty them for life.
Every aircraft is flight-tested before it ships, with a filter and PID tune developed on real flights, not bench sims. Plug in your goggles and radio, bind, and fly.
04 — Company
Longwing Aero started in a Colorado garage with one question: why does every long-range quad ship from overseas with a tune that needs three weekends of work? We design, machine, assemble, and flight-test every LW7 in our Denver facility — and when you call support, you talk to someone who flew an aircraft like yours that morning.
Our supply chain is fully NDAA-compliant, which means the LW7 is clear for public-sector and enterprise work, not just weekend sends.

FROM THE FIELD
Sent it 6 km out over the ridge line on the stock tune. Link never blinked, came home with 30% in the tank. This is the first 7-inch I haven't had to rebuild before flying.

Long-range pilot — 4 yrs, 1,100+ packs
I run LW7s for ranch inspection five days a week. Two crashes into fence posts, two arm swaps in the field, ten minutes each. The platform just keeps working.

The Cine carries my naked GoPro like it isn't there. Footage is glass-smooth out of the box — the vibration isolation actually does what the page says.

05 — Questions
For recreational flight in the U.S. you need the free FAA TRUST certificate and must fly under the Exception for Recreational Flyers. For any commercial work you need FAA Part 107. The LW7 ships with Remote ID built in and broadcasting out of the box.
A supported radio transmitter (compatibility list in the documentation), digital FPV goggles, and a 6S-capable charger. The LW7 arrives bound-ready and flight-tested — bind, set your failsafe, and fly.
Visual-line-of-sight rules still apply under Part 107 and recreational rules. The link headroom isn't about flying 12 km out — it's about a rock-solid connection at the distances you legally fly, through trees, terrain, and interference.
Yes — that's the point. Arms swap with four bolts, every part is in our store, and step-by-step repair guides are in the documentation. Or send it to us: 48-hour repair turnaround, flat-rate labor.
Two years on electronics, lifetime on the carbon frame. Crash damage isn't covered, but crash repairs are cheap because the LW7 is designed to break at sacrificial points, not through the stack.
FIRST BATCH SHIPS Q3 2026
Batch one is limited to 500 aircraft, each hand-tested in Denver before it ships.
